Mechanical Services for New Marquee at Oakley Hall
Oakley, BasingstokeProject Value £90,000
Project Overview
As a valued service contract customer; Oakley Hall approached CBS to look at providing full mechanical services to their new marquee, known as the ‘Garden Pavilion’. The main marquee area required heating, cooling and fresh air to accommodate a maximum of 400 people and CBS recommended a Trane packaged system that could provide all three. It also had the benefit of providing free cooling if the outdoor ambient was low enough. Our remit was to provide a mechanical solution to meet their design, noise and electrical limitations.
Ducted air was introduced through fabric air socks which offered fantastic air distribution with low air noise due to their micro perforations.
Heating and cooling was required in the adjoining kitchen/store which was provided by two Hitachi heat pump cassette systems. In addition, we provided full hot and cold water services for the kitchen area, domestic services, replacement radiators and above ground drainage.
Project Outcome
All works were carried out by our fully qualified air conditioning and heating engineers. The project was completed over a 12-week time scale and completed in time for their grand opening in April 2018.
CBS fully designed and project managed the work from conception to completion.
“ This project was definitely challenging. A solution was introduced to us by CBS, with whom we’ve been working for a few years now and their approach is always very professional and efficient. ”
